Powered Multi-Switch - $210.00

  Theory of operation
This mains powered multi switch can accept multiple inputs from different satellites and combine them with a UHF terrestrial input also. This unit will also amplify both satellite and terrestrial signals for distribution purposes.

The inputs comprise of Satellite inputs ranging from 950 to 2150 MHz with an output of 100dBuv with an insertion loss of approximately 2dB this is no more than a standard splitter or DiSEqC switch. The terrestrial input comprises of 5 to 860 MHz with 85dBuv gain with an insertion loss of 3dB.

This multi switch will feed a four room dwelling with both Free View satellite and Free View HD terrestrial signals if provided with the appropriate inputs.

V ANT: The Terrestrial is very straight forward, and will provide amplified reception of NZ’s DTT service if a suitable UHF signal is provided.
The satellite inputs are more challenging and can provide multiple satellite reception if provided with suitable satellite inputs. These can be from the same satellite such as Optus D1 @160E. Optus C1/D3 @156E and Optus D2 @152E. Or a combination of KU and C band inputs such as IS5 / Asiasat3 or IS8 or China sat 6A and 6B.

Please Note:
All inputs must be single type inputs: Universal LNBF’s will not work as they require 22KKHz switching voltages which will disrupt the multi switch operation.
Ku Band: 11300, 10750 .10700
C Band: 5150, 5750
