JX Satellite’s upgrade solution for the replacement of Dual / Quad  LNBF

This inexpensive upgrade  easily changes  the standard Sky dual or quad LNBF to a cost effective  LNBF holder that  will take a standard 40mm LNBF.

The results are very similarto that of the dual or Quad LNBF.

Remove the old LNBF and plastic holder


Place the bracket underneath the LNBF arm and line the holes up insert the bolt through the arm and tighten the nut on the underside making sure that the bracket is square in relation to the arm.

Tighten the horizontal adjusting nut and bolt.
Remove the top cover and place the LNBF in the cradle and replace the top cover.

Adjust the LNBF for best signal on Sky or Free View transponders. The angle of the bracket is correct for maximum signal if installed as per the picture above.

The extender arm bolts to the underneath of the LNBF arm using the same nut and bolt that holds the Optus D1 LNBF holder in place. Using D1 as the primary satellite the extender arm is positioned to the left of D1 when looking into the dish. The extender arm and LNBF holder are positioned as in picture 1 and 2 and fine tuned.

The Optus D2 signals are combined Australia /New Zealand NANZ they are at least 3 db lower than the NZ/NZ signals from Free View or Sky. However given the 5.2db threshold of both Globe Cast and UBI using a 60cm with the Optus D2 feed offset quite substantial signal strengths can be achieved.
